Playback Sessions & Presets

Playback sessions allow you to replay construction sequences, version changes, or other time-based data as animations in the viewer. Presets save commonly used playback configurations for reuse.

Overview

The playback feature enables visual replay of how a project has changed over time. This is useful for construction planning, progress tracking, and presentation purposes.

Playback Sessions

Creating a Session

1. Navigate to Playback Sessions in the admin sidebar
2. Click Create
3. Configure the session:
4. Name - A descriptive name (e.g., "Construction Sequence Q1 2025")
5. Description - Purpose and scope of the session
6. Configuration - Define the playback parameters (time range, speed, filters)

Managing Sessions

From the sessions list, you can:

• Play - Run the playback in the viewer
• Edit - Modify session parameters
• Delete - Remove the session

Playback Presets

Presets save playback configurations for quick reuse.

Creating a Preset

1. Navigate to Playback Presets in the admin sidebar
2. Click Create
3. Configure the preset:
4. Name - A descriptive label
5. Configuration - Saved playback settings (speed, filters, display options)

Using Presets

Select a preset when creating or editing a playback session to apply its saved configuration.

Use Cases

• Construction sequencing - Visualize the planned construction order
• Progress tracking - Replay actual construction progress over time
• Change review - Review how element properties have changed
• Presentations - Create visual narratives for stakeholders

Permissions

Creating and managing playback sessions requires write access to the project.
