What is Enjade?¶
Enjade is a comprehensive Building Information Modeling (BIM) collaboration and management platform that enables:
- Element Property Management - View and edit BIM element properties across multiple viewers
- Classification Systems - Organize elements using industry-standard classifications (IFC, BIMQ, custom)
- Cost Planning - Link elements to cost items, manage BOQs, and track construction costs
- SOLL Properties - Define expected properties per classification class
- Rule-Based Validation - Automatic element validation against specifications
- Task Management - Create and assign tasks linked to BIM elements
- RFI Workflow - Request for Information with AI-assisted responses
- Workflow Definitions - Define and manage custom approval and review workflows
- Webhooks - Integrate with external systems via event-driven notifications
- Version Control - Track all changes with complete history and audit trails
- Multi-Viewer Support - Works with Desite MD, Trimble Connect, Blender, and more
- Playback & Presets - Replay construction sequences and save viewer presets
- Element Groups - Organize elements into groups with configurable rules
- Formulas - Define calculated properties using formula expressions
- Color Schemes - Visualize elements by property values with color coding
Quick Start¶
- Login - Access the platform with your credentials

Documentation Sections¶
Viewer Panel¶
The viewer panel is your primary interface for working with BIM elements. Learn how to:
- Select and view elements
- View and edit properties
- Assign types and classifications
- Track changes with history
- Batch edit multiple elements
DataGrid¶
The DataGrid provides powerful data management capabilities:
- Overview - Grid features and navigation
- View Management - Save and load grid configurations
- Header Templates - Dynamic header customization
- Style Presets - Visual styling for grid elements
- Batch Editing - Edit multiple elements at once
- Footer Aggregations - Column calculations
Supported Viewers¶
Enjade integrates with multiple BIM viewers:
- Desite MD - Primary integration
- Trimble Connect - Cloud-based viewer
- Blender - Open-source 3D modeling
Admin Panel¶
For project administrators:
- Project configuration
- Classification management
- Cost plan setup
- Workflow definitions
- Webhook integrations
- RFI management
- Element groups
- Playback sessions & presets
Key Concepts¶
Elements¶
Elements are the core entities representing BIM objects (walls, doors, windows, etc.). Each element has:
- Unique identifier (GUID)
- IFC entity type
- Properties organized in property sets
- Classification assignments
- Version history
Properties¶
Properties are key-value pairs attached to elements:
- Standard IFC properties - Imported from IFC files
- Extended properties - Custom project-specific properties
- Computed properties - Calculated via formulas
Classifications¶
Classification systems organize elements using:
- Industry standards (OmniClass, UniFormat, etc.)
- Custom classification hierarchies
- SOLL properties per class
Cost Planning¶
Cost features enable:
- Cost item hierarchies
- Element-to-cost assignments
- Quantity formulas
- Cost snapshots for tracking over time
